 About Us
In October 2008 VU will be heading toward the tropical beaches of Hawaii to compete in Sweet Adelines International Chorus Competition. We will be the first chorus ever to compete having earned that right with only 27 singers on stage! Our amazing director Dede Nibler is leading the way as we continue to improve on vocal production and visual performance in order to prove to the world that high levels of singing doesn't always come in a large package. Buy your plane tickets now to come and enjoy VU's International debut!
Awards

2007
IES VU made our first International Debut in July of 2007 at the International Education Symposium in San Antonio, Texas and with a score of 1249 points we were awarded 2nd Place! Our package was lots of fun but the big hit was an entertaining song called "I Will Follow Her," throughout the course of this song we went through 7 directors and multiple personalities, each being very unique and very funny.

Voices Unlimited achieves a unprecedented 621 points at Regional Contest and takes another Second Place regional medal for their exciting performance of 'If You Love Me' and "After You've Gone'.  The score entitles Voices Unlimited to lay claim to the honor of being the highest scoring small chorus (under 30 singers) in Sweet Adeline history!  With an increase of 28 points over the 2006 score of 593, Voices was awarded Most Improved Chorus and First Place Small Chorus in addition to Second Place overall. In June VU learned that we had been invited to compete as a Wildcard contestant in the 2008 Sweet Adelines International Chorus Competition, we will be the first chorus ever to have earned that right with less then 30 women on stage. We are amazed as this has been our biggest accomplishment yet!

Voices proudly annnounces that by scoring over 600 points, Dede Nibler will now have Master Director designations in both a large and small chorus setting, another first in Sweet Adeline history!

2006
Voices Unlimited exceed their wildest expectations.  First Place in Region 11's
Division A was set as a primary goal, but our score of 593 placed us in an amazing Second Place overall finish.  Voices Unlimited is now the highest scoring small chorus in the world!  We will be competing next at the Harmony Classic Competition (Division A) during International Education Symposium in San Antonio Texas this coming July. What a huge honor it will be to represent Region 11 in our first International Competition ever!

2005
VU 23 singers attain an outstanding Second Place Small Chorus and Fifth Place Overall finish!
A huge accomplishment indeed for such a young chorus!

2003/2004
Voices was awarded Second Place in Region 11's Division A Chorus competition for two consecutive years.

Performances and Special Events

"Here to sing the National Anthem, the Voices Unlimited Chorus" was heard by thousands of people  during the "Breast Cancer Awareness Night" for the Fresno Falcons pro hockey team. As they rose to their feet our pitch pipes blew and we began our four part rendition of the National Anthem. Voices Unlimited has sent many audiences to their feet, from singing at Regional Competitions to entertaining our friends at our Christmas Show. You may have heard us on the radio, during a morning talk show, or maybe even seen us on public tv, we love to spread the joy of four part harmony in our community.

One of our favorite events was our 'sold out'
Good Ol' A'cappella Show' where we performed songs like "Orange Colored Sky",  "Grapevine", "The Man That Got Away" and "The Boy From New York City".

Voices Unlimited is also known for teaching small chorus classes. We been pleased to share our various stamina building and warm up classes during Region 11 Conventions. This summer,  Voices will proudly act as the demonstration chorus for Certified International Faculty educator (and our own) Dede Nibler's class at the Sweet Adelines International Education Symposium (IES).
